The automotive aftermarket is more competitive than ever in some ways, which should be good for everyone. Competition often breeds innovation. But it can also breed schemes that newcomers devise to keep up with established players in the space. That\u2019s what seems to be going on with Lexland, a name that\u2019s being talked about more in the Toyota off-road community despite its true identity as a Chinese copycat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing seems too fishy about Lexland at first glance. Its website shows parts for third- and fourth-gen Tacomas; second- and third-gen Tundras; fifth- and sixth-gen 4Runners; and the new Land Cruiser. Whether you\u2019re looking for seat covers and dashboard organizers or hood struts, tow hooks, and bed steps, you can find them there. It\u2019s enough to pass the initial sniff test for a lot of truck owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the veneer loses its shine once you go looking for customer opinions. Lexland\u2019s site showcases some five-star reviews, even though it\u2019s tough to parse what\u2019s real and what\u2019s not. Where you start to see serious concerns is on Reddit, Facebook groups, and owner forums. People who have purchased from Lexland found out pretty quickly that it\u2019s actually a front for a Chinese company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4runner6g.com\/forum\/threads\/anyone-hear-about-lexland-products.7376\/\">this exchange on 4Runner6G<\/a> for example. When someone started a thread, asking for others\u2019 experience with Lexland, another user responded by saying it\u2019s tied to a Chinese company\u2014Hansshow\u2014whose reputation was burned so badly that they had to rebrand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLexland is Hannshow [sic] rebranded. They closed Hannshow [sic]. I&#8217;d stay away as they are not a reputable company. Cheap products and bad customer service. I know this because I was an affiliate of theirs and I stopped doing so a couple months ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Actually, it appears that Hansshow just shifted focus. These days, it\u2019s hawking Tesla parts, and its website design is nearly identical to Lexland\u2019s. You can read <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/TeslaLounge\/comments\/1enco6n\/beware_ordering_from_hansshow\/\">plenty of complaints about Hansshow<\/a>, too, if you\u2019d like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"511\" src=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15-1024x511.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-113\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15-1024x511.png 1024w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15-768x383.png 768w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15-1536x767.png 1536w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-15.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16-1024x460.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-114\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16-1024x460.png 1024w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16-300x135.png 300w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16-768x345.png 768w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16-1536x690.png 1536w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-16.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Others in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/2024toyotatacomaownersgroup\/posts\/814952301102136\/\">the 4th Generation Toyota Tacoma Owners Group on Facebook<\/a> have similar experiences with Lexland. Several reported Chinese characters in their shipping information, while others said their Christmas orders were pushed back to February, as the company was supposedly closed for Chinese New Year. Meanwhile, others mentioned poor customer service, with one complaining of back-and-forth emails after Lexland told him to rewire a light bar that had worked for two months and quit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not content with secondhand experiences, we called Lexland directly. The brand\u2019s website lists (949) 358-4793 as the contact number, and when we rang it, the answering machine was all that picked up. Later, a man with a thick accent returned our call, explaining that we had reached the \u201cinstallation center.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We inquired about Lexland\u2019s Toyota Tacoma intake system. The man then replied, \u201cWe do not have this in stock in Santa Ana. It must ship by package.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The reason we chose this part is that it\u2019s clearly a copy of SXTH Element\u2019s Tacoma intake. Even Google\u2019s AI functionality confuses the two. SXTH Element\u2019s is one of the platform\u2019s biggest sellers, so it\u2019s no surprise to see a Chinese company try to duplicate it for less money. We see it all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, we asked frankly: \u201cI see that it\u2019s the same as the SXTH Element intake system. Which one came first? I want to buy the best one.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The man avoided the question altogether, again telling us, \u201cYou order on website. It arrives in package.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compare the two side-by-side, and you\u2019ll notice the similarities must be more than coincidental.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"696\" src=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1024x696.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-112\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1024x696.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-300x204.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-768x522.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image.jpeg 1169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"696\" src=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1024x696.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-1024x696.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-300x204.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image-768x522.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/knowyourparts.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/image.jpeg 1169w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You\u2019ll have a hard time finding a Tacoma intake on Lexland\u2019s site these days. All existing links for the product now redirect to Lexland\u2019s homepage, indicating that it must have been removed just recently. Obviously, that\u2019s good news for SXTH Element since it designed the part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Multiple aftermarket companies we\u2019ve spoken to say they are taking action against Lexland with online marketplaces like Shopify. Still, the responses have been slow, and Lexland has consistently gotten away with selling parts it didn\u2019t develop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You could discard all this info and still buy from Lexland. It might even go well\u2026 the first time. But you\u2019re almost guaranteed to run into the same problems as others when a shipment goes awry, or a part doesn\u2019t fit.
